Hi, I'm James
I'm a diet planner, and I've spent the past year helping people put together meal plans and eating habits that actually fit their real lives — not some picture-perfect version of eating that falls apart by day three.
DietPlanner started a few days ago as a way to share what I've learned in a more useful, practical format than I could in one-on-one sessions. I wanted a place where people could read real, tested approaches to eating better — not recycled advice copied from a hundred other sites.
What This Blog Is About
Here, I write about meal planning, weight loss approaches that don't rely on extreme restriction, high-protein eating, and the small, practical habits that actually make a difference over weeks and months, not overnight promises.
Some posts come from my own experiments. Others come from patterns I've seen work — and not work — with the people I've helped plan meals for. I try to be upfront about both.
Why I Started This
Working one-on-one with people, I kept running into the same problem: most diet advice online is either overly complicated, written by someone who's clearly never cooked a meal in their own kitchen, or dressed up to sell a supplement. I wanted to write the kind of practical, no-nonsense content I wish more of my own clients could find easily on their own.
What You Can Expect Here
- Practical meal plans and food swaps, not just theory
- Honest write-ups of what worked and what didn't, including my own mistakes
- No fad diets, no "miracle" foods, no unrealistic promises
This blog is new, and I'll be adding to it regularly as I keep working through more topics people actually ask me about.
A Quick Note
I'm a diet planner, not a licensed physician or registered dietitian. The content here is based on practical experience and general nutrition information — it's not a substitute for personalized medical advice. If you have specific health conditions, please check with a doctor or registered dietitian before making major changes to your diet.
